About Covenant House New York

Covenant House is committed to providing a place of shelter and support for every homeless and trafficked young person who passes through our doors. We serve kids in more than 31 cities across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

When a young person comes to our shelter, we address their immediate needs first – warm meals, showers, safe beds. But we don't stop at offering an immediate safe harbor. We strive to move each young person forward down the path to an independent adulthood, free from the risk of future homelessness. Every young person receives individual attention from caring staff and volunteers who are ready to lend a hand up to a better opportunity.

In New York City, nearly 300 young people will sleep in a Covenant House bed each night, at our Crisis Shelter or transitional living program on 41st Street, our Mother & Child program, and our safe house for victims of trafficking. For more on our local programs, visit www.covenanthouseny.org.
